Oak Tree forges ahead, assisted by its latest development: a ground-breaking logistics app.
Innovation has always been at the heart of Pathway's approach to creating fresh starts and recently Oak Tree has been at the forefront of this. Oak Tree Devanning is no longer just a container devanning and labour hire service provider, it is now a software innovator too.
Over the past few years, Oak Tree has been developing ProDevan, software that handles every aspect of a logistics operation. What began as an internal solution to streamline Oak Tree's processes has evolved into a cutting-edge platform that other devanning and labour hire companies are willing to pay for.
ProDevan is an app that automates everything from recruitment and training to customer ordering and work scheduling. It also enables us to implement our ‘bonus system’ that incentivises reliability amongst our staff. National Operations Manager Jamie Dale remarks
“ProDevan has been an absolute game changer for how we operate.”
The app has revolutionised Oak Tree's day-to-day operations by reducing administration and providing real-time job tracking and customer transparency.
While the software itself includes great features that enhance efficiency, the most exciting thing about ProDevan is the opportunity it presents.
Some of our keen-eyed supporters may have noticed that we added ProDevan to the Pathway wheel in our 2025 Annual Report. This is because the technological innovation we’ve achieved through ProDevan has the potential to become another source of funding for Pathway.
Just as Alloyfold and Oak Tree have helped to fund our charitable work for more than twenty years, ProDevan is now positioned to become the next evolution in our social enterprise model. The software's comprehensive functionality addresses real industry challenges and makes efficiency gains that businesses are prepared to invest in.
As we develop this division of Pathway, we're excited about ProDevan's potential to grow into a significant funding source for our charitable work.
