Gnarly ride to support Pathway's bike programme

Gnarly ride

Pathway Partner Employer Blair Sterling from Canterbury Powder Coating loves gnarly vehicles whether they are hot rods, fast cars or rad bikes. This donated ex-postie bike is his latest creation. It is his gift to Pathway and his way of showing support for our work.

Constructed over a month but dreamed about for many years before, it truly was a labour of love for its creator. “I’ve been dreaming of building a bike like this since I was eight or nine so I had to go ahead and build it. It’s a hard ride but I reckon it’s the coolest postie bike in the world. I just thought I could do something a bit different to support Pathway’s bike programme.”

Reintegration Manager Carey Ewing was stunned when the bike arrived. “I think that it’s an awesome transformation of an everyday, work-horse item into a true piece of art,” comments Ewing.

“It’s an amazing example of what’s possible when you have talent and grit. We feel very honoured that Blair and his team took the time to work on this project on our behalf.”

Pathway might even consider selling the bike at its
2019 Charity Auction. Maybe...
