Employment supports

Employment is a key feature in any reintegration process. Pathway Reintegration is committed to working with Work and Income to support people back into employment.  Personal circumstances, inhibitions, inexperience and lack of skillls may prevent or hinder a released prisoner from acquiring employment.  Part of our support is to assist with breaking down these barriers and developing employment stability.

Pathway to Employment

Pathway to Employment is a programme that seeks to move disadvantaged individuals, long term beneficiaries or those with barriers to employment, into permanent work.
Over a 20 week period, participants are employed and paid a wage as they experience “on the job” training, attend training courses and work on community projects whilst gaining a range of practical and employable skills.

Who is Pathway To Employment For?
This programme run by Pathway Retreat, a division of Pathway Charitable Group is a great opportunity for anyone looking to further their skills or gain work experience and references. For long-term beneficiaries struggling to find a way out, Pathway to Employment can be an invaluable step.
Developing confidence and discussing the importance of good work ethics, presentation and communication, members of the programme are able to put these skills into practice while working on community projects. Examples of previous projects include renovation of public buildings and improvements to local parks, reserves and walkways.
